Deep War is a fast-paced strategic card game set in World War II.
You will be able to personify the greatest commanders and deploy units, infused with the essence of history, from the Army, Aviation and Navy, all together, like never before.

Beside the game there is a world, which will be greater and greater, where you will find curiosities, historical facts, the always beloved technical charts and many “Did you know…?” cards to feed your curiosity.

Do you know what “effective armor thickness” means, and how you can calculate it? Do you know how a superturbocharger or an epicyclic transmission work? Whether you already knew it or not, you will find a very interesting break.

Ground units are the core of your army and can be deployed from the very beginning.
Planes can be called in only after some time, but they are untouchable, except for anti-aircraft units or fighters.
Ships are by far the most expensive to build. They are used to hold off the enemy fleet, convoy raiding, shore bombardment and local air defense.

CREATE YOUR OWN DOCTRINE


You must choose one commander to fight with.
Each commander offers a special skill, which you can use to create various focused doctrines.
Take advantage from the Feldmarschall Rommel’s PANZERGRUPPE to create harassing tank-based tactics.
Or use the 1ST BOMBARDMENT WING of the General Arnold to shatter the enemy economy with massive strategic bombardments.

COMBAT UNITS

COMBINE AND UNLEASH


Units perform all the basic combat functions.
Use them to crush the enemy opposition and destroy the enemy commander.
Learn their tactical value and how to maximize their impact, combining them with other units and skills.
A tank alone will not be able to break through enemy lines, but if you combine it with an accurate dive bombing to destroy that nasty AT-gun waiting for you, your tank will inflict a devastating blow.

How to play

A. CHOOSE YOUR COMMANDER

It’s you Commander.
This card is your main card and it must be defended at all costs. It has a certain amount of defense points and skills around which you can build and focus your deck, and thereby your strategies. If you lose it, the battle is over.

B. BUILD YOUR 30 CARD DECK

The armed forces of all warring factions are made up of three distinct branches: Army, Aviation and Navy.
Identifying a good balance between ground, air and naval units is essential to be able to compete and to fight an organized opponent fast and effectively.

C. MANAGE THE MANPOWER

Manpower is used to deploy new units and to activate certain abilities.
Use the Manpower tray to keep score of your resources.
Set up a good defense, your production capability is not safe from enemy attacks. U-boats or Strategic bombers raids can deny you precious Manpower in time of need.

D. DEPLOY UNITS

Choose from a huge variety of units: infantry, artillery, tanks, self-propelled guns, night fighters, bombers, battleships, cruisers, aircraft carriers, submarines and many more.
Each one with unique characteristics and abilities that can offer you different tactical opportunities.

E. ATTACK & DEFENSE

There are not only ordinary Attack and Defense values, but also Armored defenses and Armor Breaker attacks, Inaccurate barrages which require dice rolls and Defensive fire from enemy planes. Get rid of those nasty enemy units using the most appropriate attack. You will not be able to pierce an armor using just a normal rifle.

F. ABILITIES

Almost all units have abilities. These are assigned to characterize them and bring them as close as possible to the real counterpart. Deploy your aircraft carrier and choose the composition of its wing, set your AT guns in ambush, place an aimed shot at the engine, and much more.
You have countless possibilities at your disposal.

G. COMBO

Use them to generate deadly effects exploiting synergies between other units and abilities. A monstrously powerful tank is about to stomp your face? If you have been wise, don’t worry, the Bazooka team is ready to blow up its tracks, and your M18 Hellcat is just placing a nice 76mm shot in the side. The result? A beautiful fire ball.
